Job Title: Network Engineer (12-Month Contract)
Overview:
Join our IT Infrastructure team as a Network Engineer, leading the migration from Cisco to Juniper platforms. This is a 12-month contract role, working onsite 5 days a week in Columbus, OH. Pay range: $50-$55 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Cisco-based networks
  • Lead large-scale network migrations (Cisco to Juniper experience a plus)
  • Install, configure, and manage LAN/WAN, remote connectivity, and DNS
  • Monitor network performance and optimize efficiency
  • Create and update network documentation and diagrams
  • Manage VPN applications and remote access solutions
  • Support ITIL-based processes and deployments

Required Skills:
  • Strong Cisco network engineering expertise
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms and configurations
  • Advanced knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VLANs, spanning tree, and related protocols
  • Proven track record in network migration projects
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Juniper engineering experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with network security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Wireless networking and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)
  • Scripting and automation (Python, Ansible)
  • Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • VoIP and unified communications
  • Disaster recovery and high availability strategies
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (HIPAA, ITIL)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Network certifications (JNCIA/JNCIS) a plus
  • 2-3 years managing sizable networks, including routers and switches
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset and proactive problem-solving

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
