Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Technician to join our team in University Heights, Ohio. This is a contract position requiring onsite work and offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in enterprise networking environments. If you have a strong background in troubleshooting wired and wireless networks, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve issues within wired and wireless network systems to ensure optimal performance.
Configure and manage 802.1x systems, ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
Utilize tools to test network ports, analyze data, and identify potential performance issues.
Provide technical support for enterprise-level networking systems, addressing user concerns promptly.
Collaborate with team members to implement network solutions and upgrades as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
Conduct regular assessments of network equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in enterprise networking environments.
Proficiency in troubleshooting both wired and wireless network systems.
Familiarity with Extreme Networks technology is preferred.
Strong understanding of 802.1x configuration and related systems.
Ability to test network ports and interpret diagnostic data effectively.
Solid knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
