Software Developer / Software Engineer Contract
LOCAL ONLY, W2 ONLY (No C-C, No Sponsorships)
Contract Length: 24 months
Location: Baltimore, MD (must reside within 20 miles no exceptions)
Work Setup: On-site (Tues, Wed, Thurs mandatory; may increase to 4 5 days/week; on call rotation; and during storm events as needed)

Software Developer Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality software solutions across various platforms.
- Support capital and internal projects (e.g., ADMS, EU ORA, Outage Journey).
- Provide on-call support and contribute during storm events as needed.
- Configure and manage application web servers (e.g., WebLogic).
- Collaborate with teams using formal IT change control methodologies.
- Participate in planning, analysis, and testing phases of development.
Software Developer Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6 8 years of experience with Oracle DB technologies including PL/SQL, SQL, and data modeling.
- Strong programming skills in JAVA, J2EE, JMS, Python, .Net, and Unix scripting.
- Experience with web applications and services (SOAP, REST, HTML, JS, CSS, JSP).
- Knowledge of WebLogic administration and application server configuration.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools and ETL platforms like Informatica.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Understanding of Electric Operations business practices (a plus).
