Overview
Pershing X is a new start-up unit to incubate, engineer and deliver breakthrough solutions that will transform the advisory market.
Pershing X will deliver the industry-s leading end-to-end advisory platform, helping financial service firms solve the challenge of managing multiple and disconnected technology tools and data sets for their advisors and fueling our clients- business growth.
We are a collaborative and fast-growing team working on exciting and innovative digital product offerings.
Summary:
The Senior Specialist, (Production Services, Application Support) maintains and supports moderately complex applications and their operating environments. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders. Lead production readiness reviews for new releases and validate changes during production implementation. Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment. Analyzes any complex issues. Recommends technical solutions on application problems. Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes. Performs periodic tests of disaster recovery processes. Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments. May review and execute Change Management scripts. Leads major incident management calls for resolution of high priority incidents. May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.
Perform health checks using automation scripts and review the test results for accuracy. Report valid Production issues using ServiceNow and follow the escalation process until the issue is resolved. Responsible for recreation of Production issues reported by clients and validate the fixes in the Test region. Track post Production issues and coordinate with Quality Engineering and Development teams on Root Cause Analysis.
Flexible to provide scheduled and unscheduled production support during evenings and weekends.

Technical Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.
- A minimum of 8 years diverse experience in information technology required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Ability to execute Automated scripts in Java/Selenium
- Proficient in using BDD frameworks like Cucumber, JMeter, and SpecFlow
- Proficient in Testing Automation with Java, Web Apps, APIs, Message Queues, DBs
- Proficient in Testing Desktop applications, Messaging Queues, Unix processes, and ETL Systems
- Proficient with monitoring, aggregating, and analyzing Testing Automation Results & Metrics
- Proficient with identifying the root cause of the test failures and classifying them at scale
- Experience working with ServiceNow
- Proficient with JIRA and Zephyr
