Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect (Application Modernisation)
Location: Onsite New Jersey
Duration: 12+ Months

Experience: 10+ years

AWS certificate is mandatory ( at least associate level if not professional)
Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the modernization of legacy applications into a cloud-native architecture on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, application migration strategies, and modernization frameworks, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions. This role requires strong architectural leadership, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver a successful transformation.

Technical Skills Required
Strong expertise in AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Cloud Front, API Gateway, Cloud Watch
Experience designing microservices, server less architectures, and containerized workloads.
Proven experience in modernizing monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, and CI/CD pipelines (AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Strong knowledge of IAM, VPC, security groups, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Define cloud architecture strategy for modernizing legacy applications to AWS.
Design end-to-end AWS solutions leveraging services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
Develop migration roadmaps including rehosting, replat forming, and refactoring approaches.
Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation.
Ensure compliance with security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC design, and encryption standards.
Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimization for cloud workloads.
