    The Role

    At BNY, Workplace Production Services is leading our adoption of new technologies for communication and collaboration. Our innovation in web, mobile, social, collaboration and user experience is changing the way we interact with our clients and with each other.     We are seeking a Global Lead for Messaging and Collaboration. You will be an experienced, hands-on leader to lead a team of Production Services Engineers focused on messaging and collaboration within our firm. You will work with global teams to deliver solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, compliance, and risk teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive digital transformation in the collaboration for 60k+ BNY users
    • Implementing and supporting messaging and core applications for the firm such as Microsoft 365, on-prem Exchange, SharePoint Online, MS Teams etc. for 60k+ users across all BNY locations
    • Drive and motivate the BNY messaging and collaboration production services team; together, work closely with the Workspace engineering teams and implement solutions in coordination with global, cross-functional teams
    • Manage and assist during incidents and act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd level support teams
    • Schedule, coordinate, and communicate changes in the environment

    Qualifications

    • 12+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
    • Leader with strong Global presence to lead a team of SMEs based in US, EMEA, India and APAC
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Email technologies in an enterprise environment
    • Extensive team management experience in managing global teams
    • Experience with Microsoft 365 including setup, administration, migration and integration in a hybrid Exchange environment
    • Experience with Exchange 2013++, Symantec and Proofpoint mail gateways
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Strong communication skills, transparency, and ownership
    • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with quick learning in a fast-paced environment

    Manages multiple teams responsible for organization data protection. Oversees and develops policies regarding CTS security architecture, security monitoring and auditing, incident reporting/response and forensics. Leads and oversees broad information security projects and resourcing. Liaises with business process owners to ensure ongoing alignment. Participates in the planning and implementation of security for complex CTS projects. Evaluates security applications and systems. Presents recommendations on whether to use systems to senior management. Demonstrates advanced ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis to justify investment in security and/or COB controls to mitigate risks. Presents advanced analyses to senior management with recommendations aligning customer/business needs and capabilities. Evaluates new and emerging products and technologies, recommending which technologies to implement, develops functional specifications and documentation. Monitors budgets and schedules for projects conducted by teams and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple information security teams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

    BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $260,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
