Business analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and effective solutions by analysing current processes, identifying pain points, defining requirements, and recommending improvements that align with organizational goals.
They will conduct stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and requirement-gathering sessions to capture institutional knowledge and validate current workflows. The BA will document functional requirements, process dependencies, and business rules with precision, ensuring alignment with client’s objectives. They will collaborate with architects and data engineers to translate business needs into technical documentation and support validation workshops. Their role ensures that the final deliverables are both technically accurate and business-relevant, reducing risks of misinterpretation in future modernization planning.
Roles and responsibilities:
· Business analysts gather requirements, conduct research, and provide actionable insights to solve business problems.
· They collaborate with multiple teams to ensure project goals meet business needs.
· A key task is documenting and presenting findings through reports and presentations.
· Business analysts help companies implement solutions that drive efficiency and profitability.
· They work closely with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
· Involved in creating business requirements document, functional and non-functional requirements.
· Designed and developed test cases.
· Communicated with Business Users to identify needs, define project scope, and detail functional and Non-functional requirements.
· Gathered and analyse business requirements by facilitating JAD Sessions and PI Planning.
· Worked as a liaison between the IT and Business team. Was instrumental in providing the issue resolution to the IT team by working closely with the business.
· Independently
· investigate, diagnose, and resolve product inconsistencies and defects, and propose product improvements.
Key activities:
· Conducting strategic business analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Planning and monitoring projects, including resource allocation and cost efficiency.
· Identifying automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
· Providing training and support to end-users after solution implementation.
· Performing variance analysis to understand how performance aligns with goals.
· Identifying and managing risks that could impact project success.

Exp: 6-8 years(mid level)

Location: Boston Metropolitan area.
Initial contract is for 6 months on 1099 basis. There is a probability of extension of contract or absorbed by the DEFTeam based on the performance of the candidates.
Working Model-Initial onsite for 3 months later on hybrid depending upon the performance and client approvals
