Assistant Electrical Project Manager Waddell, AZ
Waddell, AZ. This is full-time, on-site position with opportunities for career growth into senior leadership roles. Salary is 100K-120K
<>Responsibilities:</>- Support the Senior Electrical PM in managing large-scale hyperscale and colocation data center construction projects.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of field teams to maintain construction timelines.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Provide technical input on transformer installation, high-voltage power distribution, and commissioning processes.
- Work closely with foremen, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain compliance with OSHA and NEC standards.
- Conduct QA/QC checks, site safety inspections, and equipment tracking to ensure work is completed to specification.
- Assist in evaluating bids, managing subcontractor relationships, and ensuring vendor alignment with project requirements.
- Prepare and present progress reports to the Senior PM and other stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical contracting as an Assistant PM or Project Engineer.
- Strong familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change order processes, and high-voltage electrical distribution (480V-12kV).
- Working knowledge of MS Project, Procore, and Primavera (or similar PM software).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in construction documentation and project execution.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish) for site coordination and subcontractor communication.
