Role Summary
This Business Analyst role is crucial for supporting investment and fund administration functions within a client's financial services organization. The successful candidate will act as a primary liaison between key business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the effective use of systems and data, particularly those sourced from Advent Geneva. This person will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing data issues, driving process improvements, and coordinating the full project lifecycle from build activities through QA and UAT.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Investment Accounting, Fund Admin, and Reporting teams.
- Gather, document, and analyze requirements for system projects and enhancements.
- Provide best-fit solutions while maintaining the integrity of existing applications.
- Work extensively with Portfolio/Investment accounting datasets and reports (primarily from Advent Geneva).
- Coordinate inter-team project plans, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Act as a liaison to development teams, translating business requirements into functional requirements.
- Perform analysis and support for Ares data warehouse integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Drive quality control across various systems and integrations.
- Conduct data analysis and debugging to research data issues and support business problem resolution.
- Perform applications change, project QA, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Required Skills
- Total Professional Experience: 9+ years
- Business Analyst Experience: 5+ years, specifically within the banking or financial services sector.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance.
- Advent Geneva Experience: At least 3 years
- Prior experience in asset management firms or fund administrators (experience with alternative asset managers is a significant plus).
- Strong MS-SQL skills.
