About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer Lead to join our IT team in Andover, MA. This individual will provide advanced technical support for end-users, lead a team of desktop engineers, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, identity management, and scripting, combined with excellent leadership and customer service skills.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer Lead to join our IT team in Andover, MA. This individual will provide advanced technical support for end-users, lead a team of desktop engineers, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, identity management, and scripting, combined with excellent leadership and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-user support via phone, email, and walk-up for both Mac and Windows environments
- Perform software and hardware break/fix support
- Build and deploy new system images
- Manage incidents and ensure timely ticket updates and closures using ITSM platforms
- Handle IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requests
- Troubleshoot OS configuration issues and reinstall software/drivers as needed
- Execute PowerShell scripts for updates and automation tasks
- Support identity and access management through AD, OKTA, and Microsoft Entra ID
- Lead and mentor desktop support team members, manage scheduling, and act as escalation point
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (required)
- Experience:7+ years of Desktop/Helpdesk support experience
- Proven team lead experience managing engineers
- Advanced technical skills including:
- PowerShell scripting
- Active Directory (group creation, app assignment)
- Office 365 administration
- Mac/Windows environment support
- OKTA, JAMF, Intune, Apple Business Manager, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID
- Excellent customer service skills (White Glove Support)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Familiarity with AWS and other cloud technologies
