Job Description: QA Automation Engineer

Job Location- Remote

Position Overview:

The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for both automated and manual software testing to ensure the quality and functionality of web-based applications. This role requires expertise in automation tools and scripting, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of software releases.

Responsibilities:

• Perform automated and manual application software testing and quality assurance activities.
• Develop, execute, and troubleshoot Selenium automation scripts using the TestNG framework and JAVA for web-based applications.
• Create and modify test materials for systems and programs, documenting test procedures and results.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to support testing under various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and assist with training and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze issues using logic and reasoning to identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Work with relational databases, creating and executing SQL scripts for data validation and testing purposes.
• Advise management on the status of releases based on testing results and issues identified during the testing process.
• Ensure all test activities are fully documented and align with best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in developing, executing, and troubleshooting Selenium automation scripts with the TestNG framework and JAVA for web-based applications.
• 8+ years of experience creating and modifying test materials for systems and programs, and documenting test procedures.
• 8+ years of experience in developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to support testing across different software development methodologies.
• 8+ years of experience working with relational databases and creating SQL scripts for data validation and testing.
• 8+ years of experience working in a collaborative team environment, with strong communication skills, and the ability to assist in training other team members.
• 8+ years of experience in exercising logic and reasoning to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience performing code reviews.
• 1+ year of experience in application testing for state agencies.
• 1+ year of experience with the JAMA Product Delivery Platform.
• 1+ year of experience working with Broadcom Agile Requirements Designer.
• 1+ year of experience working with Broadcom Test Data Manager.
