World Wide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) has an opportunity available for a Solutions Engineer to support our client Plano, TX (Onsite).

Title: Solutions Engineer

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)

Duration/Type of Job: 12 Months

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with server provisioning, configuration, and deployment in both cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and on-premise environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Experience with configuration management, monitoring, and performance tuning for servers.
  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, etc.) and their configuration.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, etc.) and backup technologies.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex infrastructure problems and identify the root cause.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and hardening techniques for server environments.
