Remote/Local Mainframe Tester (12+) with Salesforce (must), COBOL, JCL, DB2, Jira, Tricentis qTest, API testing tool, automation/performance/system/integration/regression testing and child support experience

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Indiana Department of Child Services DCS)
Duration: 12+ Months
Candidate must currently reside in the state of IN. Position is 100% remote.

Skills:
Relevant Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience Required 5 Years
Extensive knowledge of SDLC and Testing Methodologies Required 5 Years
Thorough knowledge of testing and reporting procedures and practices Required 5 Years
Experience with Mainframe testing including testing with technologies like COBOL, JCL, and DB2 Required 5 Years
Working knowledge of the MS Office, Jira,Tricentis qTest tool suite Required 5 Years
Strong analytical skills and attention to details Required 4 Years
Ability to identify and resolve problems or assist in the development of creative solutions, when necessary Required 4 Years
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Required 4 Years
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues Required 4 Years
Salesforce testing experience and Experience with UAT Support Required 4 Years
Good knowledge and experience with API testing tool, Desired
Test automation and performance testing experience Desired

Resource will provide business system testing, integration testing, & regression testing services for the child support system.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Test planning and execution: Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Defect management: Identify, document, and report defects and issues to development teams. Work with developers to resolve problems and ensure quality standards are met.
Data validation: Validate data flow between mainframe systems and other interfaces.
Collaboration: Work with Test supervisor, project managers, Product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test results and progress reports.
User support: Provide support to end-users during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.

Job Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.
Good knowledge and experience with Mainframe testing including testing with technologies likeCOBOL,JCL,andDB2,analyzing batch job results, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
Good knowledge and experience with API testing tool.
Any Salesforce testing experience is an added advantage.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Good knowledge of Atlassian s Jira tool.
Good knowledge of qTest.
Experienced in complete defect cycle and defect management process.
Good knowledge of applicable federal/state/local rules, regulations, statutes and procedures in Child Support.
