Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA with hands-on experience in cloud migration, data privacy solutions, and strategic database management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, collaborates well with technical leadership, and is passionate about optimizing database performance and cost in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support migration of Oracle databases from on-premise to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Implement and maintain data management solutions including data deidentification, masking, and profiling
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to develop cost-effective cloud strategies
  • Perform daily DBA tasks: monitoring, backups, recovery, performance tuning
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools
  • Manage database security, user access, and roles
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans
  • Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migrations
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle tools (RMAN, Data Pump, OEM)
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Understanding of performance tuning and query optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with data privacy practices (masking, deidentification, profiling)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Experience with DevOps tools and automation practices
  • Oracle certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
