Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing network operations, updates, implementations and provides support for designated information technology and applications.  Additionally, this position assists with the IT Support processes (request fulfillments, incident, problem, change management, and planned maintenance/upgrades) and maintains relationships with vendors that supply related IT solutions to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.  The role will also leverage technology to create value by enabling new department goals, increasing staff and volunteer productivity, and optimizing the designated information technology and applications’ overall IT costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

 

  • Administrate the Church of the City (COTC) network across 4 locations
  • Ensure network infrastructure hardware and software are up-to-date and secure
  • Laptop care and maintenance
  • Perform System Administrator responsibilities for all network software and systems 
  • Troubleshoot, solve system problems, and communicate outcomes to staff/key volunteers in a timely manner  
  • Sunday church service network oversee and support services
  • Special event network support
  • Connect and meet with staff, volunteers, and/or contractors regarding needs and projects
  • Assist with the development of IT policies and standards as requested 
  • Provide for IT infrastructure resiliency sufficient to meet COTC requirements in case of power outages or other emergencies
  • Evaluate new equipment, software, and processes for the designated IT scope, continuously recommend changes as appropriate, and supervise their installation
