About the Role
Client is seeking an experienced NonStop Tandem Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting applications running on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize existing application performance and ensure high system availability.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and implementation planning.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Tandem applications.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 10 years of hands-on experience in HP NonStop / Tandem development.
- Strong proficiency in TACL, TAL, SCOBOL, COBOL, Enscribe, Pathway, and Guardian OS.
- Experience with SQL/MP, TMF, and NonStop utilities.
- Familiarity with financial/banking systems or payment processing applications is a strong asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, hybrid environment.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Base24, GoldenGate, or SOAP/REST API integration.
- Exposure to Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience working with Canadian banking clients.
