Job Details

Our client, a mortgage technology company, is building out a new product team to support the development of a brand new platform build and they are seeking several experienced Product Analysts.

This position is 100% remote. This is a contract to hire position. No sponsorship offered.

Job Summary:

Our client is focused on simplifying the mortgage lending process from start to finish by building innovative technology solutions. They want to do their part of bringing the dream of homeownership to as many people as possible!

The Sr. Product Analyst, Mortgage Originations works closely with Product Managers on the Intelligent Mortgage Solutions (IMS) Team. IMS delivers API services to mortgage lenders that innovate and streamline the process of loan origination, including verification services and intelligent integrations with 3rd party data providers.

Successful candidates will have extensive mortgage origination experience, as well as a proven track record working on commercial software products. The role focuses on becoming a domain expert in a functional area, defining requirements with innovation in mind, partnering with development counterparts, leading various agile ceremonies and taking accountability for the success of the team s deliverables. This is a remote position.

Job Requirements:

  • Working with cross-functional teams to flush out all the relevant use cases, and the value to be delivered from the services assigned to the Product Analyst.
  • Being the deepest knowledge expert within the organization related to the service area owned by the PA, including understanding the processes in place by mortgage lenders and how those processes will be transformed.
  • Create detailed user stories and requirements that are complete and unambiguous.
  • Manage the product backlog
  • Create detailed acceptance criteria that QA can translate into test plans.
  • Lead agile ceremonies including grooming sessions and sprint planning.
  • Collaborate with development, QA and architecture teams to remove obstacles that arise during the product lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of diverse financial services / mortgage banking experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly documentation of Use Cases is preferred.
  • Business analysis skills are required
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the business to define business and functional requirements.
  • Support business and IT teams, including requirements gathering and project management for new development and integration projects with little or no direction.
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

MUST HAVES:

  • MUST Have Mortgage Origination industry experience
  • Must be a Product Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager. (CANNOT be a business analyst or a project manager)
  • MUST either have started their career as a Loan Underwriter and moved into a Product Role or worked as a Product Analyst at a mortgage company while they were building and developing a loan origination system from scratch. NOT implementing an off-the-shelf LOS tool and implementing it.
  • Must have API experience
  • Must have Agile experience
