Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Job Description:
Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst resource with strong data management/data warehouse experience testing in large and complex systems development projects. This Quality Assurance Analyst is needed to bring several active, high visibility projects to successful completion, to enable the client System Modernization technical solutions to be deployed and fully operational. The software Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for performing all testing activities for Systems Modernization projects, as determined by the Project Manager and/or Product Owner. These will include several cross-agency projects with key collaborators.
Responsibilities:
- Write complex SQL queries/writing SQL scripts
- Perform Database/Data Warehouse Testing/BI Reports Testing
- Perform Data/Functional/Regression/System Integration/Backend/Negative Testing
- Identify and analyze test data; test results
- Read and analyze Business Requirements documents to gather technical information
- Create all types of testing documents in support of Data testing: Estimations, Test Strategy, Test Case/Scripts, Test Plan, Test Data, Test Closure, Test Reports
- Test Mainframe Applications, Reading JCL and TSO Datasets
- Create Bug/Defect work items, conduct defect triage meetings and retest defects
- Provide estimations and capacity planning for work assignments and change requests
- Provide knowledge transfer to client staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years' experience in Quality Assurance Analyst role
- Four (4) years' experience creating, modifying, and executing complex SQL queries. Complex SQL queries contain JOINS (Inner, Outer Left, Right, and Full JOINS) and Sub-Queries (Nested with WHERE clauses).
- Three (3) years' experience with ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) Tester/Developer, Data/Report Analyst
- Three (3) years' experience with Teradata
- Three (3) years' experience with Tableau Software
Desired Skills:
- Five years' experience with RDMS/DMS (Relational Database Management System/Database Management System
- Five years' experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics and Reporting tool
- Five years' experience with Testing Tools
- Five years' experience with ETL (Extract, Transfer
- Five years' experience with Data Warehouse testing
- Five years' experience with Tableau
- Five years' experience with Teradata SQL Assistant
- Five years' experience with Oracle
- Five years' experience with IBM Defect Management tools
- IBM Rational CLM (Collaborative Lifecycle Management)
- IBM RTC (Rational Team Concert)
- IBM RQM (Rational Quality Manager)
- Three years' experience using Agile methodology to ensure risks are mitigated as soon as they occur
- Three years' experience with SQL Developer
- Experience working with Normalized and Denormalized tables
- Experience with Beyond Compare
