Location: This position is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Apply leading-edge principles and concepts to ensure data integrity, availability and security while constantly looking for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization.
- Use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with analyzing enterprise data management policy, processes, and procedures
- 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database implementations, database language theory, database design, SQL, and database programming
- 5+ years of experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design for data warehouses and conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques
- 5+ years of experience facilitating information discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to extract appropriate terminology and context
- Experience with shell scripting and automation
- Knowledge of developing standardized business vocabularies across large organizations and multiple business units
- Ability to assist in mapping the business and technical architecture of a delivered solution to technical and functional requirements
Preferred/Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Experience in System Architecture and Design
- Experience with Cloud and DevOps principles
- Experience with security and security remediation practices and principles
- Knowledge of Jira, ETL, SQL, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
Clearance:
- Public trust clearance is required, but an active IRS MBI clearance is preferred.
