Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly experienced AS/400 Synon Senior Developer with strong expertise in CA/2E (Synon) and COBOL AS400, preferably with healthcare or pharmacy domain experience (e.g., RxClaim, Walgreens, CVS, Express Scripts, OptumRx). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and functional knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) systems and play a lead role in designing, developing, and optimizing mid-range AS400 applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and understand functional and technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with business, capability, and product teams to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions.

  • Perform hands-on coding and technical leadership using Synon (CA/2E), COBOL, and AS400 technologies.

  • Guide and mentor development teams in an onshore/offshore model.

  • Develop and optimize core PBM functions such as adjudication, pricing, accumulators, MED D pricing, benefit plan setup, and patient pay.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development methodology and contribute to continuous integration and improvement.

  • Lead efforts to fine-tune, optimize, and modernize existing applications.

  • Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification, solution design, and status reporting.

  • Contribute to defining and maintaining the technology roadmap for the team.
