🚀 Azure Kubernetes Container Manager with MULESOFT Integration (W2 Contract)

 

Location: Remote Work (US)

Job Type: Contract (W2 ONLY)

Are you an expert in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with deep experience deploying and managing MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF)? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Kubernetes Container Manager for a contract role focused on building, securing, and maintaining our containerized MuleSoft environment on Azure.

We are ONLY considering W2 candidates for this contract position.


 

🔑 Key Responsibilities

 

As the Azure Kubernetes Container Manager with MULESOFT Integration, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of the container infrastructure and the MuleSoft runtime environment.

  • Provisioning and Scaling: Design, deploy, and scale robust AKS clusters tailored for high-availability MuleSoft workloads.

  • Azure Integration: Seamlessly integrate AKS with essential Azure services, including Azure Networking (VNETs/Subnets), Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.

  • Resource Optimization: Manage AKS node pools, VM sizing, and dynamic scaling policies to optimize cost and performance.

  • Installation: Install and configure MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) using deployment tools like Helm or Anypoint-provided installers.

  • Upgrades: Plan and execute RTF version upgrades in strict alignment with MuleSoft release schedules.

  • Runtime Management: Oversee the health and configuration of Runtime Fabric Agents, Services, and Pods.

  • Deployment: Deploy, manage, and scale Mule applications as containers within the designated RTF namespace on AKS.

  • Management: Implement effective deployment strategies, rollbacks, and scaling tactics for application containers.

  • Traffic Control: Configure and manage ingress controllers (e.g., NGINX) and service meshes (Istio if required) for advanced traffic management.

  • Access Control: Implement RBAC and integrate with Azure Active Directory (AAD) to enforce strict access controls on the AKS cluster.

  • Secret Management: Configure and manage secrets using Azure Key Vault in conjunction with MuleSoft secure properties.

  • Compliance: Ensure RTF pods and the underlying infrastructure meet strict security and compliance baselines (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, SOC2 requirements).

  • Monitoring: Integrate AKS monitoring with centralized tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • MuleSoft Monitoring: Configure MuleSoft Anypoint Monitoring to capture and visualize performance metrics from the AKS cluster.

  • Logging: Implement log aggregation solutions using ELK/EFK stacks or Azure Log Analytics.

  • Azure Networking: Configure complex network topologies, including VNETs, Subnets, and Private Endpoints.

  • API Security: Secure APIs by deploying and enforcing MuleSoft API Gateway policies within the RTF environment.
