Job Title: Data Security Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer (W2 Only)

Location: Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer with a strong background in securing and maintaining enterprise cloud data environments. Candidates with expertise in Analytics Data Security and Cloud Security Engineering will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain cloud data and analytics security solutions.

  • Implement and enforce access policies to secure databases, schemas, tables, and other database objects.

  • Ensure compliance with Information Security policies and control standards.

  • Troubleshoot data security issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation based on lessons learned.

  • Apply Cloud Security best practices, particularly in Microsoft Azure.

  • Utilize experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure B2B and Application Security in Azure.

  • Integrate and implement security controls seamlessly within analytics platforms.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Information Assurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) Certification

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Security / Data Security Engineering.

  • 2 3 years of experience in Azure data warehousing and analytics stack with a focus on data security setup.

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL DB/Warehouse security setup including:

    • Row-Level Security (RLS), Column-Level Security (CLS),

    • Data Masking, Data Encryption,

    • Securing CCI and PII sensitive data.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including ADLS, Blob Storage, SQL WH.

  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Security best practices in Azure.

  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs (preferred).

  • Experience with MS Fabric and MS Purview (preferred).

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
