Director of Front End Development / VueJS

A well-established company based in Chicago is looking for a Director of Engineering who is Front End focused. The team is local to Chicago and ideally looking for someone who can come into their office semi-regularly.
This company is currently working on scaling out their platform to support its user base. They have successfully re-platformed their back end from a legacy Rails monolith to Python microservices. They're now looking for someone who can successfully revamp their front end to reflect that with Vue components. You'd start with a few contractors reporting into you and would slowly build out the team in house. This role will allow you to drive the entire technical direction of a product that is well integrated into the space they're in. • 10+ years of professional experience
• Experience leading teams
• Ability to still be hands on with JavaScript and related Frameworks
• BS+ in CS/STEM/Related
• Strong communication skills cross-functionally
• Strong Front End Architecture experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong Vue component skills
• Experience with NuxtJS
• Cloud experience with AWS and Serverless
• Experience working with different internal and external stakeholders
• MS+ in CS/STEM/Related
