Job Details

Senior Network Engineer Las Vegas, NV

Location: Onsite Las Vegas, NV

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network solutions using Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).

  • Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.

  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including ACLs, VPNs, firewalls, segmentation, and secure configurations.

  • Support Cisco Wireless solutions including WLC, AP provisioning, and RF optimization.

  • Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and upgrades across WAN/LAN environments.

  • Lead network automation initiatives using tools like Python, Ansible, or Cisco DNAC (preferred).

  • Document network architecture diagrams, configurations, SOPs, and change management procedures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications, infrastructure, and security initiatives.

  • Provide advanced escalation support and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7 10+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in mid-large enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise with Cisco technologies (Catalyst/Nexus switches, ASA/Firepower firewalls, ISR/ASR routers).

  • Advanced understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS, and multicast.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless solutions (WLC, APs, RF design).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills using packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).

  • Experience with VPN technologies: IPsec, SSL VPN, AnyConnect.

  • Knowledge of network security best practices and NAC technologies (ISE preferred).

  • Experience with SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela or Meraki) is a plus.

  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS/Azure) is an advantage.

  • Certifications: CCNP required; CCIE preferred.
