Job Description: Jr. DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow in the field of DevOps, with a foundational understanding of network automation, automation tools, and scripting languages. This role is perfect for individuals looking to kick-start their career in DevOps and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of network automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Utilize Ansible and/or Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Write and maintain Python scripts and other scripting languages to support automation tasks and process improvements.
- Collaborate with senior team members to deploy and manage applications in Linux environments, primarily Red Hat and Ubuntu.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to DevOps processes and infrastructure.
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, contributing to the seamless deployment of applications.
- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations to enhance team knowledge and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends, practices, and tools to continuously improve skills and contribute to team initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of network automation concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with Ansible and/or Terraform is a plus; eagerness to learn these tools is essential.
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language (e.g., Bash, Perl).
- Experience with Linux operating systems, specifically Red Hat and Ubuntu.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
