Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

About the Role

Client is expanding its Energy & Power Solutions team to address the evolving utility landscape and support energy resiliency and decarbonization initiatives. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead projects in power generation, distribution, and renewable energy. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, engage with clients, and contribute to strategic business development while delivering innovative solutions for a cleaner, more secure energy future.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of engineering design and/or consulting experience
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (any U.S. state)
  • Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Willingness to work hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in office)
  • Availability to travel (<25>


Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
  • Experience in utility/power projects, including:
    • Power distribution systems and microgrids
    • HV/MV substations
    • Power generation projects (>10MW)
    • Renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal)
    • Energy storage systems
  • Familiarity with power system modeling tools (SKM, ETAP)
  • Knowledge of Protection & Control, SCADA, automation
  • Experience in proposal development, project execution planning, and mentoring junior staff


Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design and advisory services for energy projects
  • Collaborate with clients to assess energy needs and develop concept-to-delivery solutions
  • Support business development, proposal writing, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Mentor and manage junior engineering staff
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
