Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Perioperative SME to support our Competitive billion DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program in Vienna, VA, providing the modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. Leidos, along with core partners Cerner, Accenture, and Henry Schein, will support the DHMSM Program Executive Office (PEO) and the Defense Health Agency in the global deployment of our proposed HER system that will deliver improved system capability to the DoD whenever and wherever healthcare is required. This is one of the most exciting, cutting-edge programs that you can be a part of with Team Leidos and will improve the quality of healthcare for some 10 million military personnel and their families.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Perioperative Clinical Subject Matter Expert will join the Clinical Product team responsible for clinical

optimization and new capability clinical support. Your efforts will support the implementation, deployment,

and sustainment of new capabilities for a dynamic and expanding portfolio of additional health solutions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide nursing clinical input into new capability design
  • Provide nursing clinical input into workflow optimization
  • Support multiple projects in design, creation and modification of enterprise workflows (in workflow designer) that support changes to clinical providers, nurses and allied health applications of MHS GENESIS
  • Collaborate with team to design fully integrated clinical and revenue cycle workflows to support clinically driven revenue cycle
  • Support the development of adoption presentations for nursing and provider services
  • Present and facilitate nursing and provider discussions with the customer
  • Support Functional Valid Events with creation of scripts for demonstration in a non-production environment
  • Review of interim and final release notes for platform upgrades
  • Support design and testing activities
  • Support review and recommended updates to provider, nursing and allied health training content

Qualifications:

  • BS degree 9 years minimum experience
  • Federal Government requirement.
  • Deep Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium experience
  • Previous hospital or clinic experience required
  • Expertise in workflow design and workflow designer tool
  • Expertise in facilitation of design and adoption sessions
