We are a leading data and digital transformation consulting firm helping global organizations unlock the value of their enterprise data. Our clients include Fortune 1000 manufacturers, distributors, and industrial companies undergoing ERP modernization and data governance transformation initiatives. We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to lead the design and establishment of a data governance organization for a $6B global manufacturing client operating across North America. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and JD Edwards (JDE) environments, and a proven record of building governance frameworks in complex, multi-system landscapes.

Role Overview

As the Data Governance Lead, you will serve as a strategic advisor and delivery leader for our client engagement. You’ll design and operationalize an enterprise data governance framework, aligning business and IT stakeholders around data ownership, quality, and accountability. You will guide the client through defining data policies, implementing governance tools, and establishing a sustainable data stewardship model.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Leadership & Advisory

o Serve as the primary data governance advisor to a global manufacturing client’s data and analytics leadership team.

o Assess the client’s current data landscape across Oracle EBS and JDE systems and define a governance roadmap.

2. Framework Development & Implementation

o Design and implement the enterprise data governance framework, including policies, standards, and governance councils.

o Define roles and responsibilities for data owners, data stewards, and governance committees.

3. Master Data & Data Quality Management

o Develop and execute master data management (MDM) strategies for key domains such as Product, Customer, Supplier, and Chart of Accounts.

o Implement data quality scorecards, metrics, and remediation processes.

4. Change Management & Enablement

o Drive organizational adoption of governance practices through stakeholder engagement, communication, and training programs.

o Develop data literacy programs to promote data accountability and self-service analytics.

5. Compliance & Risk Mitigation

o Ensure governance processes align with regulatory and compliance requirements (SOX,

GDPR, CCPA).

6. Collaboration & Integration

o Work with ERP, data architecture, and analytics teams to ensure governance principles

are embedded across systems and reporting platforms.

 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related

field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

o 8+ years of experience in data management, governance, or information strategy.

o 3+ years consulting experience with large manufacturing or industrial clients.

o Hands-on experience establishing data governance organizations supporting Oracle E Business Suite and JD Edwards (JDE).o Proven track record developing governance operating models and data stewardship frameworks.

o Experience with data quality, metadata management, and master data management tools.

Preferred Skills:

o Familiarity with Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, or similar data governance

platforms.

o Knowledge of data architecture, data integration, and ERP master data concepts.

o Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills.

o Strong facilitation skills to align executive and operational stakeholders.
