    The Lifeline program is seeking a detail-oriented problem solver to fill the position of Senior Data Analyst. In this role, you will work as the primary lead for projects and performs complex reporting and analytics. This includes requirements gathering for reports, aggregating and presenting information from various programmatic data sources for internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead projects and perform complex research analysis of program data to identify and propose opportunities to improve the efficiency, integrity, and stakeholder experience of Universal Service program participants.
    • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to monitor data initiatives, interdependencies, and risk tolerance.
    • Evaluate new technologies to ensure the technology architecture and data analysis and visualization tools are in line with company's evolving business intelligence needs.
    • Lead the preparation of internal (senior leadership) and external (FCC) reporting and metrics on data project portfolio.
    • Spearhead strategic communications intended for internal (senior leadership) and external (FCC) stakeholders.
    • Design and develop complex data visualizations using Tableau and other software applications to present program insights, analysis and issues.
    • Maintain, develop, implement policies and guide peers to deliver success, accuracy, and integrity of the USAC program.
    • Serves as a change agent and advocate for corporate division data strategy and direction to support the implementation of USAC's strategic vision.

    About You
    • Bachelor Degree and/or relevant technical training with no preferred certifications
    • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of professionally related experience
    • One (1) to Two (2) years of operational and/or technical experience.
    • Experience in the data science field performing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis and developing data products and tools that provide actionable insights and strategic guidance to managers and people in leadership positions.
    • Proven time management skills with ability to effectively prioritize and execute concurrent tasks.
    • Able to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into comprehensive insights for business stakeholders.
    • Proven experience manipulating large quantities of data to drive business decisions.
    • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate and work across other departments as needed.
    • Proven experience working with data warehoused in databases using SQL and programming languages for data science such as R or Python (or a demonstrated capacity to learn them).
    • Experience presenting complex analysis and results in plain English for a non-technical audience using data visualizations (i.e. charts, tables, and graphs) on various software platforms.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, are naturally curious and inquisitive, and are interested in continuously improving our work.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
