Quality Engineer Test Automation
Location: Santa Monica, CA
12+ month Contract
We are seeking a Quality Engineer consultant for a role in Santa Monica. You ll have a unique opportunity to influence QE processes, automation strategies, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automated test frameworks for API, UI, integration, and data validation using Python.
- Design and execute test strategies for large-scale data processing, ETL, and data accuracy validation.
- Work closely with engineering teams to evolve testing scenarios, improve defect detection, and enhance system reliability.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve testing issues across teams.
- Convert manual test cases to automated tests whenever possible.
- Validate large-scale data sets using SQL and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
- Implement test automation processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on software test development experience.
- Strong Python & SQL expertise for database testing and queries.
- Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit) and object-oriented programming.
- Proven ability in automated testing (API, UI, integration, data validation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with big data platforms and data engineering principles.
