Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Technician or Computer Science graduate with up to two years of hands-on or academic experience. The candidate will work on-site at a client data center in Reston, VA, providing technical support, assisting with network equipment, and performing operational tasks in a fast-paced environment. Local candidates are strongly preferred due to the on-site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support at the client data center, including hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assist with configuration, cabling, and basic network setup under senior engineer guidance.
• Perform routine system checks, monitoring, and documentation of data center operations.
• Support network operations, including switches, routers, servers, and connectivity issues.
• Follow security and compliance protocols within the data center.
• Collaborate with team members and escalate technical issues when needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and resolutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
• 0 2 years of experience in network support, IT operations, or similar technical roles (internships accepted).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with data center environments is a plus.
• Ability to lift equipment (up to 40 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks within a data center.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Reston, VA location.
