Location: Remote with (at most) quarterly travel as needed to Kansas City, MO

Job Description:
Salesforce Director of Technical Product Management
Permanent, Direct Hire to Client
Location: Remote with (at most) quarterly travel as needed to Kansas City, MO
Apex Systems is working with a financial services technology solutions client to find a skilled Salesforce professional who can push their migration from PeopleSoft CRM to Salesforce across the finish line.
Technical Environment
- Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Salesforce Service Cloud
- Salesforce back end for a customer-facing Portal
- Considering using Salesforce for billing in the future
- Mulesoft (another team)
What youll be responsible for:
- Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life.
- Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through implementation and release.
- Functions as a central resource with design, development, quality assurance, marketing and implementation as the software product(s) move through their lifecycle.
- Creates and maintains the product/vision roadmap.
- Contributes technical expertise to the sales process and the development of effective marketing plans/campaigns.
- Oversees alpha and beta program definition and coordinates execution.
- Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control.
- Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
- Provides direction, control and mentoring for Technical Product Managers under direction.
- Completes people management functions including goal setting, performance appraisals, P&L management, budgeting, etc.
- May oversee Project Management Office (PMO) activities.
- May oversee annual Enhancement Submission Process (ESP).
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- This person must be a general Salesforce SME (5+ years in Salesforce)
- Must come from a technical background
- Must have experience in Salesforce implementations (enterprise side) (client side is OK)
- Mentor and lead
- Not an ivory tower Director; this person must be able to roll up his sleeves and dive into user stories and help with design work
- Needs to be able to communicate effectively, including presenting to the Corporate Leadership Team
- Must have people management experience
- Understand Salesforce Security
Duties
- Manage the Roadmap
- Lead/Mentor the team
- Evangelize Salesforce and drive adoption
- Help gather and clarify requirements/user stories
- Work with the Solutions Architect to interface with Stakeholders for design work
- Present to Corporate Leadership
- People management over 2 Managers and a Product Owner. They make take over the Admins, as well.
What youll need to have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise IT product management or architecture related to CRM.
- Must have 6 years of experience with Enterprise platforms, such as: Salesforce or ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Must have 5 years of experience as a manager or director
- Must be able to travel up to 10% for internal and external business unit and stakeholder meetings.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelors degree or higher.
- Experience with Copado, or similar Salesforce deployment tools.
- Experience with DevOps.
- Experience with Zero or Low Code Environments.
- Experience with Agile principles.
- Agile and/or project management certifications.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Salesforce-related certifications.
