Telematics Tester

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: long term

As the Telematics Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the latest technologies in the automotive industry. You will create test cases based on requirement analysis and specifications from the architecture and design of complex Telematics Systems.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field of study
  • 3 years of vehicle systems experience (Telematics, Infotainment, etc.).
  • 3+ years' experience in automotive engineering or similar testing expertise as the above summary
  • Experience conducting automotive HMI, feature, system, Bluetooth, cellular, telematics, infotainment, or component communication testing
  • Understanding of Cellular Communications (GSM, CDMA, LTE, etc.) preferred
  • Significant aptitude or interest in complex testing processes
  • Software and/or hardware testing knowledge
  • Cellular/RF communications analysis tools such as spectrum analyzer, QXDM, etc. is a plus
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as MATLAB, CANoe, LabVIEW or dspace is a plus
  • Vehicle knowledge about CAN networks and/or OBD is preferred
  • Creating and Releasing DVP&R, test reports, test procedures as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Speech (Voice Recognition) & Navigation
  • Infotainment
  • Headphone , Bluetooth testing
  • Call services, e-call, remote vehicle tracking - end to end testing
  • Communication with suppliers
  • How hands on?
