Day in the Life of an Associate Industrial Engineer:

Bell is looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. From Bell's legacy helicopters to our groundbreaking tiltrotor technology, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. As an Associate Industrial Engineer for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) at Bell, you can expect to contribute to the successful completion of projects that support daily and long-term business objectives. The candidate will provide manufacturing support with regards to the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of manufacturing production plans and the integration of people, equipment, materials and processes.

Working on projects in the following areas:

  • Capacity and 4M Analysis (Man, Machine/Tool, Material, and Measure)
  • Standards, Span, Order Policy, Work Structure, & Routing Maintenance including Time Studies
  • S&OP / SIOP / IBP supply and capacity analysis
  • Workflow Optimization & Cost Out (5S, Lean, Kanban, Spaghetti Diagrams)
  • Facility and Equipment Capital planning and layout support
  • Metric / Performance / Labor Analysis & Data Analytics
  • Business Case development
  • Project Management

What You Will Need to be Successful:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology or Industrial & Systems Engineering required.
  • 0- 2 years of relevant experience

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Able to extract quality data and provide comprehensive analysis
  • Clear understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, and progress metrics
  • Able to perform manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to manufacturing technical objectives
  • Works through a disciplined approach to plan, execute, control and close tasks to achieve specific goals to established success criteria
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office suite applications
  • Previous intern experience working in manufacturing support
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
