Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct the often fast-paced work of a small, Agile UX Design team, including colleagues that are located outside of the United States
- Collaborates with business Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Program Managers, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to understand requirements from design perspective and create user stories
- In consideration of business priorities, and within branding guidelines set by the Marketing team, build prototypes, wireframes and hi- and lo-fidelity visual designs for IT development teams and business areas in a timely manner
- Attend Scrum team ceremonies as appropriate to gather insight and input to designs
- Collaborate with PO/SMEs and Business Analysts to incorporate web and mobile design and accessibility best practices in all designs
- Creating and maintaining personas for prospects, current clients and internal staff
- Use a variety of analysis techniques, as well as client feedback, to understand and optimize the client and prospect experience
- Analyze existing systems and understand new needs of the target audience
- Keep up to speed with the technology industry to ensure our experience meets best practices and works across all platforms
- Ensure compliance with Vanguard Charitable technology policies and procedures.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five years of professional design experience, including interactive web design.
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile development environment
- Experience with Invision, Sketch and Jira required. Experience Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign preferred
- Advanced knowledge in all areas of user experience design (information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototype engineering, content, user experience
- Advanced knowledge in user-centered design principles, visual design, user behavior and interactions
- Manage and produce high quality work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to build and sustain strong business relationships; experience communicating with people who have different comfort levels with technology and design
- Preferred experience collaborating with an offshore team
- Portfolio or work samples required at the interview stage
Salary: $95,000 - $105,000
