This position is 100% remote. The selected candidate must be comfortable supporting Eastern Time Zone hours.
Overview & Responsibilities
Join a high-performing integration team at a leading enterprise firm as a Senior Oracle SOA Administrator. In this role, you will be the primary expert responsible for the health, performance, and security of Oracle SOA Suite and Fusion Middleware components. You will work in a fast-paced environment across AWS and OCI cloud platforms, ensuring that critical business interfaces remain seamless and highly available. This is a long-term opportunity intended to convert to a permanent employee position. You will
Install, configure, and manage Oracle SOA Suite (versions 12c and 14c) and WebLogic Server domains.
Administer environments within AWS Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Execute automated deployments and environmental changes using WLST and Shell scripting.
Perform regular patching and upgrades for SOA Suite and Fusion Middleware components.
Troubleshoot complex integration issues, including JVM tuning, thread dump analysis, and SOA composite performance.
Proactively collaborate with network, system, and database teams to resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
Support production environments through frequent after-hours and weekend patching cycles.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of dedicated Oracle SOA Suite/Fusion Middleware administration.
Strong, recent hands-on experience with Oracle SOA 12c (and ideally 14c).
Deep proficiency in WebLogic administration, including clustering and JDBC/JMS configuration.
Mandatory skills in WLST (WebLogic Scripting Tool) and Linux Shell scripting.
Proven experience managing infrastructure in AWS or OCI.
Bachelor s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Oracle Database administration, specifically regarding metadata databases and dehydration stores.
Experience with Oracle Managed File Transfer (MFT).
Prior experience in a "Contract-to-Hire" or long-term employee backfill role.
