Core responsibilities:
- Program leadership and strategy: Defines and oversees large-scale, multi-project programs that enhance the DevOps, Cloud Ops, and Center of Excellence (CoE) functions.
- Delivery management: Ensures technical projects and initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality specifications. They set objectives and govern the execution across multiple teams.
- Team management: Leads and mentors technical managers and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, including product management, finance, and senior leadership.
- Operational excellence: Manages budgets, optimizes processes, and defines and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Infrastructure management: Provides strategic oversight for the architecture and operation of cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Program and people management
- Agile methodologies: Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices for project management.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to align technical goals with business strategy and to report on program health to diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership and influence: The ability to lead and mentor teams, drive change, and influence both technical and non-technical staff across the organization.
- Strategic planning: Capability to turn high-level strategic objectives into tactical plans and roadmaps for execution.
