In this high visibility role, you will join a diverse team of engineers and technology specialists to support delivery of software projects with a focus on Data Analytics and prognostics.
Emerson's Power and Water Solutions is an industry-leading controls automation and asset optimization company that provides applications in the renewable (solar, hydro, wind), fossil (natural gas and coal) power generation, and wastewater treatment plant sectors. We focus on upgrading existing plant control systems with industry-leading automation controls and instrumentation, as well as provide asset management and reliability software to promote the sustainability and longevity of our North American power grid and wastewater infrastructure.
AS A PROJECT LEAD ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Use new technology and drive the development of new tools and software solutions
- Apply project management practices (initiation, planning, implementing, monitoring, controlling, and closing) to support the delivery and installation of solutions
- Develop methods and procedures to improve project execution efficiency with a focus on lowering cost and improving margins
- Create presentations for sales and marketing support
- Participate in process improvement initiatives with a culturally diverse and globally distributed team
- Gain and apply knowledge of plant assets and equipment

You are effective and understand the customers historically, today, and tomorrow to gather fresh insights.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5+ years in engineering or software project management, to include data analytics &/or data science
- Proven record of managing and working with staff from multiple backgrounds and location to provide solutions in a timely manner
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage complex projects
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- 3-7 years of software technology experience in industrial &/or utility processes (power, water, nuclear, etc.)
- Experience applying technology to formulate industry solutions (using tools such as AspenPlus, Mtell, etc.)
- 2-5 years of experience in project management
FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE REMOTE WORK OPTION
Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers. As such, this role has the flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week.
