Software Engineering - Big Data

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Engineer to join their team: See responsibilities and qualifications below:

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Plan sessions and analyze business requirements to outline the proposed IT solution to develop software applications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide design recommendations; add security requirements into design; provide input to information/data flow for software application development.
• You will learn Project Life Cycle Methodology
• Corporate Architectural Standards incorporated into application design specifications, document specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules.
• Participate in programming reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
• Identify/troubleshoot application programming-related issues and review and provide feedback
• Work with the test team to ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations and keep track with project planning

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Cloud - AWS experience
• Hadoop
• Core Java
• Development Tools: Unix, Server Side
