WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Develop and modify database structures based on generated DDL.
  • Design, code, and optimize databases for proprietary apps, including security, for software team.
  • Maintain database documentation, schedule tasks, and coordinate maintenance for optimal performance.
  • Monitor and tune databases for efficiency, plan for growth, and collaborate with server admins.
  • Lead improvement sessions, mentor teams, multitask, and communicate effectively.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of IT database administration and architecture experience.
  • Knowledge of Commissions application platforms is advantageous.
  • Practical expertise in database design, programming, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (2014+), T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
  • Familiarity with C#, ASP.net, .Net Framework, and Data Pipeline.
  • Knowledge of messaging tools like Kafka or RMQ is a plus.
  • Experience in various database platforms such as SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Proficient in CI/CD for automation, with Azure familiarity.
