Systems Programming Consultant

Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) is a state agency of Florida. Its headquarters are in Tallahassee,
the Sunshine State's Capital City. DFS is seeking candidates to join its Office of Information Technology Team to
serve as a Systems Programming Consultant. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining application systems and enhancements while

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement new application systems and enhancements.
• Assist in supporting development and production environments, including code builds and deployments.
• Design non-functional prototypes and develop technical specifications for maintenance and enhancements.
• Conduct advanced systems analysis to define requirements, specifications, and program logic.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to estimate, prioritize, and ensure application changes meet requirements.
• Maintain and enhance applications using approved languages and platforms following division processes.
• Perform analysis, troubleshoot issues, correct performance problems, and gather metrics for applications.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with agency programming standards, security policies, and
  best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (security, infrastructure, procedures, manuals, etc.).
• Communicate project status regularly and evaluate emerging technologies for system modernization.

Qualifications:

• Five (5) or more years of software development experience
• Strong C#, .NET, MVC fundamentals
• Experience with Web APIs, and Relational Databases
