Critical Facilities EngineerJoin our dynamic Data Center Facility Operations team as a Critical Facility Engineer. You will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining the critical systems that form the backbone of our data centers, ensuring our software meets customer demands efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities- Perform hands-on operations and maintenance, including all physical and administrative tasks, to ensure the highest levels of uptime, efficiency, and safety.
- Complete work order requests accurately and on time using an enterprise asset management system (Hexagon).
- Achieve and maintain a high level of technical knowledge regarding data center infrastructure and operations through personnel qualification standards (PQS) training.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance as required.
- Respond quickly to data center facility emergencies using established procedures.
- Regularly inspect equipment, buildings, safety routes, and grounds for any abnormal or unsafe conditions.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades.
- Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure work complies with agreed processes, procedures, and standards.
- Escalate issues to facility management appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in scheduling and supervising vendors/subcontractors during equipment/systems maintenance and service.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to the operations and maintenance program.
- Work on a shift schedule, including nights and holidays.
- Utilize building management systems and monitoring tools to operate remote equipment, monitor system alerts, centralize communications, diagnose faults, and prioritize resource dispatching.
Essential Skills- 7+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field.
- Associate's degree in engineering with 5+ years experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years experience.
- Ability to use hands and fingers, reach/push/pull with arms/hands/shoulders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Capability to lift and move 45 pounds or more.
- Ability to work at a workstation for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems used in critical environments.
- Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings.
- Knowledge of critical facilities operations.
- Experience with EAM/CMMS systems.
- Trade Certification or state licensure in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC).
- 7+ years of experience in a data center or other critical environments such as pharma, clean rooms, medical, or power production.
- Professional affiliations such as 7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse.

Work EnvironmentWork a schedule of 5 ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 5 PM. The position may require shifts during nights and holidays.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $50.00/hr.
