Job Responsibilities What to Expect

  • Must have working knowledge in SharePoint infrastructure architecture or WordPress infrastructure architecture
  • Having both SharePoint and WordPress experience is advantageous, but not required.
  • Provide Infrastructure engineering and support for the server farms and SANs
  • Provide guidance and implementation for disaster recovery inducing backup strategy and data and hosting replication strategy
  • Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
  • Perform Capacity analysis and capacity planning for the hosting and storage infrastructure
  • Implement monitoring for the health performance and capacity of the SharePoint and/ or WordPress infrastructure.
  • Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint and WordPress platform, servers, and intranet.
  • Implementation and understanding of cyber security best practices for external facing sites and internal sites
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint or WordPress issues or malfunctions.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
Qualifications

Your Knowledge & Expertise

  • A BS or BA Degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 1+ years of specialized experience in systems engineering.
  • Adept in monitoring and coordinating all data system operations, including security procedures.
  • Capable of analyzing information requirements.
  • Solid understanding and ability to monitor and maintain records of system performance and robust capacity to arrange vendor services or other actions for reconfiguration and anticipate requirements for system expansion.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL Server, PowerShell, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of common business operating systems and applications
  • Growing understanding and ability to coordinate software development, user training, network management, and minor installation and repair of equipment.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to constantly changing problems.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements

Because our client is a state agency, we have some additional requirements directly from them. Candidates must understand the following:

  • Candidate is expected to work in the office approximately 20% of the time for any physical access to infrastructure changes and builds as needed.
  • Candidates must be able to verify U.S. Citizenship.
    • U.S. Green Cardholder, H1B, or other visas are not eligible.
  • Pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Pre-employment background check will be run.
  • In addition, once hired, there will be an FBI Fingerprinting and background check as part of the security process for access to government systems.
