Responsibilities: Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors. Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.

Oversee the design and development of advanced ML models and algorithms to solve significant e-commerce optimization challenges, focusing on conversion, segmentation, and behavior targeting. Apply state-of-the-art ML technologies to create data-driven solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business outcomes. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary stakeholder teams to ensure seamless delivery of ML-driven solutions, aligning technical efforts with business goals. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ML projects, from initial data analysis and model development to deployment and performance monitoring. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual support within the team. Emphasize and implement agile, hands-on approaches in project execution, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs. Stay up to date of the latest trends and techniques in Machine Learning, driving the continuous improvement of our ML practices and ensuring the team remains at the cutting edge of the field. Communicate complex technical concepts and project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. Implement robust testing and validation frameworks to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of ML models in production. Encourage and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing, fostering an environment that values innovative thinking and the exploration of new ideas in Machine Learning. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a machine learning/data science-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of relational database management systems, advanced SQL skills, and expertise in BigQuery to process datasets, generate insights, and power data-driven solutions for daily operations.
  • Utilize knowledge of Big Data and Apache Spark (PySpark) to process massive datasets, enabling efficient data transformation for downstream machine learning modeling and analysis.
  • Utilize knowledge of advanced data science techniques and tools, including Python, Apache Spark, SparkML, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, and Tidyverse, to build various ML-driven applications such as recommendation models, timeseries forecasting, attribution models that address business needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Utilize knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Databricks to train machine learning models, scale solutions for optimized architecture, and collaborate with MLOps teams to automate and streamline deployment processes.
  • Utilize experience in applied statistics, statistical modeling, and A/B experimentation such as experiment design, hypothesis testing to quantify the impact of ML-driven models and optimize data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize experience with HCP data and analytics, CRM analytics, online media, and the adtech ecosystem to deliver actionable insights and optimize digital media strategies.
  • Utilize knowledge of data science acumen, frameworks, and applications to collaborate with the business in identifying and prioritizing data science-driven opportunities, translating data and model results into tactical and strategic insights.

Position requires at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL to design, manage, and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring efficient data processing and retrieval for business needs.
  • Utilize Apache Spark (PySpark) for large-scale data processing, enabling seamless preparation for downstream modeling and analysis.
  • Utilize Python, machine learning, supervised and unsupervised algorithms, and statistical modeling with SparkML, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, and Tidyverse to build large-scale machine learning models for clustering, segmentation, cancer detection, etc.
  • Utilize AWS SageMaker and Google Cloud Platform for scalable batch inferencing and modeling to drive efficient, large-scale AI solutions.
  • Utilize HCP data analytics and predictive modeling to enhance targeted marketing strategies and optimize healthcare outcomes.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $194,834 - $234,900 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
