Position: Product Owner

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Run Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Manage cross-functional delivery across product teams, business partners, and engineering groups.
  • Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, epics, and program backlogs.
  • Support enterprise Agile adoption, including preparation for PI Planning and scaled agile workflows.
  • Coordinate prioritization, manage impediments/risks, track deliverables, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
  • Collaborate on funding requests, requirements intake, and strategic planning with business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, QA, and leadership to ensure timely feature delivery.
  • Rapidly onboard to new products and teams, adapting quickly to evolving priorities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Product Owner experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog ownership.
  • Hands-on Agile/Scrum execution in enterprise environments; familiarity with SAFe and scaled frameworks.
  • Project/Program leadership experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Proficiency in Jira (dashboards, sprint reporting, workflows) and Confluence (roadmaps, documentation).
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams with an understanding of application development.
  • Strong analytical and BSA-style skills to break down epics, map business processes, and support functional validation.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Fast learner able to ramp within 2 3 days in high-pressure initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise Agile transformations.
  • Background working across multiple product areas in large organizations.

Training or mentorship under experienced Agile practitioners is a plus.
