Optimization & Automation Specialist
Summary:
A top financial client is seeking an Optimization & Automation Specialist to work a hybrid or remote schedule in Lewisville, TX, Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI.



The Optimization & Automation Specialist is considered a process optimization and automation expert that will be primarily focused on governance and product development processes to support strategy and rules implementation for systemic decisioning for the indirect auto lending business. This role will require organizational and process management expertise and be responsible for optimizing and automating best practices, controls, testing and governance routines. This individual will work closely with a broad group of matrix partners, including business operations, IT, Risk, Finance/Pricing, Analytical Modeling, and Product Management, etc. They will participate in the requirements development for applying business needs to technical applications, working directly with team members from business sectors and the applications development team. Work is project-oriented and actual tasks must be defined by employee. Uses judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain, recommend, and build solutions. May interface with senior management.


Responsibilities:



  • Work collaboratively with all Stakeholders

  • Lead and/or oversee collaboration with business partners in developing requirements for technical solutions that enable to meet business objectives

  • Lead or participate in joint application design sessions to ensure deliverables are efficient, reliable, and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements

  • Work collaboratively with Developers and IT partners to Provide recommendations regarding solutions/fixes and enhancements

  • Develop and/or review test plans including capacity plans that may include business resources for test case execution, test case volume estimates, and timeline estimates

  • Identify areas of risk and potential systematic controls


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2-3 years experience in using Power Automate, Power BI, Python, Automation Anywhere, SQL, GIT, Jira

  • 2-3 years experience with Snowflake, AWS, Oracle

  • Proven ability to be self-guided and independent in researching requests, opportunities for automation, looking for patterns, delivering results, and understanding impacts in a highly complex matrix environment

  • Strong ability to identify opportunities to optimize, automate, and operationalize applications and processes

  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis processes and tools

  • Strong strategic thinking

  • Strong written and oral presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated experience/working knowledge of web-based applications desired but not required.

  • Experience in financial services or related industry preferred

  • Experienced in facilitating project teams, Project Management/Business Analyst Certification (or equivalent work experience) highly preferred

  • Familiarity with Decisioning Rule coding/programming is beneficial

  • Experience with governance process and procedures is beneficial
