Job Description

  • Facilitate supplier agreement negotiations, renegotiations and contract addendums.
  • Negotiate performance-based, preferred supplier agreements, to provide incentive for continuous supplier improvement. Advises Site Ops leader on strategic plans.
  • Source competitive quotes for Facilities, office, catering, transport, GIS, computers, IT, network equipment
  • Represents Site Ops in cross-functional team meetings and projects, that focuses on supply challenges and ensures internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
  • Works cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Finance, HR and Corp Comm
  • Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; then drives team to address and close gaps to meet objectives
  • Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a vendor manager requires the ability to negotiate and understand a contract, the ability to analyze a cost-benefit analysis, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with senior executives.
  • Vendor managers are also expected to resolve disputes and search for mutually beneficial outcomes, and any history of doing so can help you stand out from other applicants
  • Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
  • Develop and apply a strategic commodity plan to define a preferred supplier base for build-to-print commodities
  • Prepare, review contracts and upload in myContracts
  • Create PR/PO in SAP
  • Conduct interviews and meetings with new vendors.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished.
  • Help and coordinate vendor processes and methods to approve vendors.
  • Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
  • Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.
  • Identify and implement continuously enhance efficiencies associated with vendor management plus produce fulfillment.
  • Participate to formulate workflow processes, methods and policies for applying vendors.
  • Ensure to collaborate with IT areas to assure vendor partners effectively manage plus contracts are completely leveraged.
  • Prepare processes for as well as manage analysis, selection and transition.
  • Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes

Qualification:

  • Requires excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including executives
  • Previous project management experience and knowledge of basic project management concepts
  • Experience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development with suppliers
  • Experience in capacity planning, cost reduction approaches and lead time reduction
  • Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts. Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and business processes
  • Maintains current knowledge on relevant trends through professional networking, industry reports, trade journals, etc.
