We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Applications Engineer. This position is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced, and innovative environment. We are a leading company in the manufacturing industry, and we are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service, managing projects with tight deadlines, and using technical expertise to provide solutions. This role requires a high degree of technical aptitude, advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to travel to client sites. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute projects within tight deadlines
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural blueprints
  • Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with new customers to strategically align the company product development
  • Identify customers' needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Perform technical/product training for both sales representatives and customers at targeted accounts
  • Drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
  • Identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Research and provide recommendations based on product knowledge and technical competency

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to read mechanical, electrical, and architectural blueprints
  • Excellent project management and planning skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Visio, and SolidWorks
  • Ability to travel to client sites
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and excellent presentation skills
  • Solution-oriented and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team player who is willing to put in extra effort/time to complete the assignment and ensure the customer is satisfied
  • Understanding of network communications technology - Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.
  • Experience successfully interacting with customers and providing recommendations based on product knowledge and technical competency.
