Project Description:
Our program was started as the migration of the financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The success of the program in both the migration and creation of a scalable platform led to it being selected as the strategic platform providing full-scale of advisory services for one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. This has led to significant further investment for legacy system migrations and technical improvements. Currently, we have teams across several locations (Weehawken, Wroclaw) on those projects.
Reengineer set of existing applications and introduce additional application interface layer, allowing to query underlying data from third-party applications
- Write clean code
- Cover own code with tests
- Participate in backlog refinement, planning and demos
- Perform code reviews
- Make unit tests
- Clarify the requirements with stakeholders
- Participate in solution architecture design and implementation
Mandatory Skills Description:
Experience working in Java 7 and above (Java 8 is highly preferable) 5+ years of experience
Strong understanding of Java / J2EE concepts (Java Servlet, JSP and Struts, Websphere application Servers, Tomcat Application Server)
Strong knowledge of Micro Services and understanding of DevOps tools. (Gitlab preferable)
Experience with working in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring JDBC, Hikari Connection Pooling.
Good understanding of application security (OWASP, OAuth2)
Good Understanding of Application Infrastructure components like Load balancers, Proxies, SSL, TLS and Cipher Suites.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience working with multiple teams, especially with Middleware Support, Unix, Database Support, and Migration Teams.
Good knowledge of Single Sign-on Implementations
Good experience in SQL, PL SQL (Preferably Sybase and Oracle)
Good understanding of SDLC and Release Control is a plus
Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology is a plus
