What will you be doing?

This role will reside within the Data Protection BU of the ATC Lab Services team. This resource will be responsible for evaluating and developing new Data Protection technologies for the WWT Advanced Technology Center (ATC). This role will work with a wide range of technologies and will focus more depth in one or more focus areas of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge and expertise with Data Protection, Cyber Security Virtualization, and Compute as well as a broad level of understanding storage, cloud, S3, and communication protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and manage relationships with customers and partners, both internally and externally
  • Design and Build environments and data protection solutions for customer engagements for the purpose of Sandbox, Proofs of Concepts, and Lab-as-a-Service
  • Create architectural diagrams, access guides, and other documents as needed for customer engagements and internal documentation
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and other internal teams to develop test plans, use cases, and high/low level designs
  • Further develop and foster OEM partnerships and relationships that support WWT s go-to-market strategy around data protection solutions
  • Achieve industry standard certification requirements to maintain partner status
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • A minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 3-5years of data protection experience as an engineer/architect. The ideal candidate will have combined experience as a data protection practitioner, data protection consultant.
  • Required: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 1-3 years experience with one or more of the following: Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Vertias, Veeam, physical server environments, and virtual environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Substantial knowledge of current and upcoming data protection technologies and operations
  • Proficient ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments and adjusting priorities
  • Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
  • Basic experience in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and leading data protection initiatives and projects
  • Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels
  • Data protection and other certifications are preferred, but not required
